While the evil genius Dr. Robotnik, tests his latest weapon of destruction, one of his assistants makes a mistake and blows up his laboratory, spreading five Chaos Emeralds on the planet Mobius. Sonic and Tails rush to save them. Sly Knuckles is right behind, with spiky-finger Nack the Weasel joining the pack. It's a three-way race to see who gets the Emeralds first!
